Remember Melbourne

Pak Din will always remember Melbourne as a nice, beautiful, safe, clean city.

Pak Din met Muhammad from Iraq, a stranger that can speak Malay. He used to work at UUM for 7 years and now choosing Melbourne to call his home. "I stay in Dockland."

"Let me know if you need any help at all anytime during your stay here," he said not once but each time in two more encounters after that.

Pak Din first met him at the entrance of a prayer room in Southern Cross. Then at Asean Food shop in front of Coles supermarket. He greeted Pak Din at State Library for our third encounter.

Pak Din will remember him as one of a kind guy we have met in OZ.

Pak Din slamat sampai ke tanahair awal pagi ni. Anak dtg ambik keluar dari klia2 pk 9:15am. Alhamdulillah.

Bon Voyage Melbourne

Pak Din tgh Q drop luggage. Lambat la jugak. Ingatkan dah web check in cepat la proses. Rupanya 2x5 je. Anyway tak sabar Pak Din nak balik ke tanahair setelah lepak seminggu d Melbourne, recently voted as the most liveable city in the world. Melbourne got a piece of everything. Pak Din could not agree more.

Another Visit to State Library

Pak Din pi State Library lagi ptg ni. Guna PC 1 jam. Internet laju boleh tahan. User friendly. Senang self serve booking, assign location and pc# available. 45 min per session, automatically extended for 15 min if not log-off.

So sempat la Pak Din siapkan beberapa posting blog kembaraoz ni. Malam ni took a stroll along Collins St. Weekend has started. Warga Melbourne berpesta.

Pak Din dan Mak Wan kena start re-packing all the luggage balik hotel ni. We need to check out 10am tomorrow. Then simpan those luggages in d hotel luggage room.

Ronda2 Melbourne for the final day (day#7). Then off to airport by SkyBus maybe around 8pm. Our flight to Klia2 at midnite. Bon Voyage Melbourne. Selamat tinggal OZ.

Pak Din and the gang berkampung 7 hari di Melbourne. Hari2 meronda. Naik tram turun tram. Jalan sana jalan sini. Posing sana posing sini. Singgah sana singgah sini. Pendek kata banyak lokasi menarik sudah di teroka. Hari ni kali kedua pi shopping di DFO kat south dwarf pinggiran Yarra River. Malam tadi pi nite market di Queen Victoria Market. Petang semalam lepak kat Victoria State Library.

Solat Jumaat d Melbourne

Pak Din solat jumaat di City Mosque Melbourne kat Jeffcot St. Penuh para jemaah lebihkurang 300 org d tingkat bawah dan 300org kat tingkat atas masjid. Dua batch solat di adakan bagi menampung jumlah jemaah yg ramai. Iaitu pukul 12:30 dan 1:30. Khatib hari ini menyentuh soal besederhana dalam syariat termasuklah dlm ibadah.

"Satu $8, Tiga $20," jawab Mr Yaakut bila Mak Wan tanya harga t-shirt di stall beliau. "I know to say TQ in most of the language," tambahnya lagi.  "When I came into argument with any of the customer, then I will say sampai jumpa lagi," jelasnya kpd Mak Wan sambil tersenyum. Stall Mr Yaakut focus jual soveniour t-shirt.

City Mosque

Pak Din teroka kota Melbourne pagi ni dgn menyusuri La Trobe St. Banyak kedai tutup pada hari ahad. Kebersihan dan kecantikan bangunan2 serta landskap menarik memberi aroma yg unik. Tidak ada rasa gusar berjalan2 di pinggiran jalan2 utamanya.

Pak Din teruja krana dapat singgah ke City Mosque. Dapat solat sunat tahayyatul masjid, solat sunat wudhu dan dhuha.

Kelihatan juga ibubapa menghantar anak2 ke kelas bahasa arab dan pengajian fardhu ain di tingkat dua masjid. Pak Din sempat berborak dgn seorang bapa. Katanya kelas berlangsung pada weekend dari pukul 9:30am-12:30pm. Terdapat 20-25 pelajar pada beberapa level.

Solat jumaat di adakan dua kali iaitu 12:30 dan 1:30tgh kerana full house. Satu lagi yg unik ialah barangan yg di pamirkan utk jualan boleh d beli dgn memasukkan duit ke dlm kotak yg di sediakan base on trust basis.

Sarapan d Southern Cross

Sejuk...sejuk. So bila pekena kopi panas memang ngam. Mak Wan ajak Pak Din beli coffee long black $1 di kedai 7eleven. Warga OZ mula bangkit di hari minggu. Pak Din sedang bersarapan sekeping kek pisang $2 dgn kopi panas. Indah pagi ini.

Great Southern Hotel

Email enquiry rate dan booking Pak Din kpd bahagian reservation Great Southern Hotel telah berbalas.

Setelah bincang2 Pak Din rasa accomodation di Hotel ini sudah memadai. Apatah lagi ianya merangkumi 6 malam dgn kos berbaloi $25 per nite per person.

Check out pada hari sabtu. Malamnya Pak Din akan ke airport untuk flight ke Klia2. Lagi pun lokasinya yg berdekatan dgn Southern Cross sangat strategik dan memudahkan.

Maka Pak Din akan cancel booking yg telah dibuat untuk 5 mlm di Apartment Darling Tower yg Pak Din fikir sekadar 'nice to have' yg kosnya $37 per nite per person. Tidak termasuk penginapan untuk hari jumaat (weekend) yg rate nya lebih tinggi itu.

So ptg tadi terus Mak Wan ajak Pak Din pergi ke front desk hotel untuk confirm booking. Esok penerokaan wajah2 Melbourne akan semakin rancak.
